Having agility fun for charityDogs in Need Agility Society (DINAS) originally set out to provide a week long holiday show both for Agility competitors AND their dogs while raising money for worthy charities. The first shows were held at Three Counties Showground, Malvern. As entries quickly increased, the show was forced to move to the present larger venue of Suffolk Showground, Ipswich.Emailing ServiceHayley Wilson is setting up a mail shot service for Dogs in Need where she will send out emails when important updates are added to the site http://www.dogsinneedagility.com such as proposed classes for forthcoming shows, schedules, results etc. If anyone is interested, all they have to do is email her at dogsinneed.news@blueeyeweb.co.uk and put subscribe as the title of the email. K9 Cage Grand Prize DrawIn 2004 K9 Cages ran a huge draw for the benefit of the DINAS charity, the lucky winner getting a complete vehicle/kennel make-over. This year, Chris Odd of K9Cages will be running another Grand Prize Draw with first prize worth £1,000. You can buy tickets at Dogs In Need for the opportunity of winning one of the great prizes below.
The Prize Draw will take place in Whispers during the bumper evening entertainment on Saturday, 20 August. All money raised from this draw, Chris will be generously donating to Dogs In Need Agility Society. Camping & Golf RemindersReminder that Dogs In Need and YKC entries and camping close on Wednesday, 22 June. Don't forget that new for this year the YKC training must also be pre-entered and paid by the same date. All the YKC training including agility is open to non-members so don't miss out. The inaugural and highly prestigious Dogs In Need golfing tournament entries also close on the same day. So golfers you will have plenty of time to find your balls and polish them, but don't miss the closing date or you will have to put them away - unused! Finally all you up and coming stars, don't be shy, contact the Lovely Michelle by Wednesday, 20 July and get sewing those sequins on, so we can sort out prizes. The DIN organisers are looking for either a club, group or number of individuals who would like the job of setting up and decorating ‘Whispers’ Night Club on both Saturday and Sunday, 13-14th August 2005 and taking it all down again on Sunday morning, 21 August. It comes down a lot quicker than it goes up! This would be your helpers contribution to Dogs In Need so once its done your time is your own.
