The final Finals report

Celebration Finals at DINAS

The Wednesday evening at Dogs In Need saw the end of an era - the very last Celebration Final. For a change, we had sunshine, which resulted in a large crowd of very vocal support, spurred on by the excellent commentary of Barrie Harvey. Well done to all who took part in one of the best finals we have ever had.

The Finals started with the Advanced Power & Speed, judged by Amanda Rodgers. Chris Cole with Mr Fahrenheit was first to run and they set the standard with a very fast clear round. David Munnings with Devongem Mister Boss Man were the only pair to beat them. A gallant attempt by Lee Gibson and Taddymoor Scott saw them take the 3rd place spot.

John Ward said, 'The Easter Celebration group would like to thank all of the clubs and individuals that have helped us over the last 12 years. Too many people to mention, but I will single out  Don Nunn and Brian Hazell who will always hold a special place in our memories. We would also like to thanks Gerry and DINAS for allowing us to hold our finals at their show.'

'Though these were the very last Celebration Finals, Mid Downs DTC will continue to run the Easter Celebration Weekend. I'm sure they would appreciate the same commitment that you have shown to us.
