You have to be in it to win it...

The Games Challenge Final, sponsored by Kim Hunt and the Derbyshire Agility Centre, is open to all levels and all heights, running in one competition. There are no heats as such for the Games Challenge. In order to qualify automatically and be invited to compete in the Semi-final, you have to gain three qualifying scoring wins in any UKA games classes throughout the designated year.

The handlers who qualified for the Games Semi-finals by winning three Games classes with a qualifying score at any UKA show between 3 July 2012 - 1 July 2013 ran at the UKA Nationals at The Dowty's Sports & Social Club on 2 August 2013 for a place in the Final.

The top 20 handlers will now compete at the Games Challenge Final to be held at the UK Agility Grand Finals in December 2013.  The Final will consist of a Gamblers course and a Snooker course.

Rules 2011 - 2012

Scoring

  •  Standard UK Agility Marking will apply

  •  Both Points and times will be combined from the two classes

  •  The dog with the most points in the fastest time will be deemed the winner

  •  In the event of a tie the competitor with the most Gamblers points in the fastest time will be deemed the winner

  •  Any extraordinary circumstances to be ruled by UK Agility (UKA)

Final Qualification

  • Qualification for the 2012 Semi Final will be by winning three games classes with a qualifying score at any UKA Show between 7 June 2011 – 2 July 2012.  The Semi Final will be held at the UKA Nationals Week Show 2012 on Friday, 3 August 2012.

  • The top 20 from the Semi Final will qualify to compete at the Games Challenge Final to be held at UK Agility Grand Finals in December 2012.

Prizes

There will be rosettes and goody bags for all finalists, plus trophies for the overall winner and runner-up. Winners of both the Snooker and the Gamblers sections will receive individual rosettes and trophies.
