The Border Collie Classic 2006

The First International Border Collie Classic event will be staged in Holland next year at Ackermans Outdoor Centrum, De Heense Molen, The Netherlands, a small village in the south west of the country.  It will be organised by the Border Collie Club of Nederland.

The dates are:-
  • Friday, 7 July 2006  - 1st Grade
  • Saturday, 8 July - 2nd and 3rd Grades
  • Sunday, 9 July - 2nd and 3rd Grades

There will be individual and team events.

Four internationally know judges have been confirmed including Carl de Rouck (Belgium), Adri van de Bosch (The Netherlands), Peter Kindle (Liechtenstein) and Corrie Vink (The Netherlands)

Unfortunately the show is being held under the rules of the FCI which this means that only pedigree Border Collies can compete. The plus side is, of course, that the title 'International Agility Champion' can be gained.

The outdoor Centum has camping facilities but no electric hook up. Shower and toilets are plentiful and really good and there is catering on the site. Just about 15 minutes away by car, there are enough places to take the dogs for a good run or a swim in the evenings.

Online registration will be open from 1 March 2006.
