In a nutshell: A much maligned breed, but
actually a good all-rounder who will try their hardest to please.
Description:
Strong in stature, stocky, agile.
Temperament:
Strong-minded
but easy to teach, sensitive, clever, thoughtful.
Advantages as an agility dog:
-
Fast
-
Very focused
-
Low centre of gravity
-
Knows no fear
-
Good endurance
Disadvantages
as an agility dog:
-
Tends to break the equipment if she misjudges the
height!
Rating out of 10:
Against the collies at club, she is very good. Cam be more controllable and makes
fewer mistakes, so I would give them 9/10

What's it like to live with as
a pet: Brilliant, she is very loving, easy to train, great fun,
very sensitive knows your moods, good with all my other pets including rabbits, guinea
pigs, and chickens! She’s an in your face dog, a bit boisterous when visitors come. Loves
to be touching can’t bear it if you are out of touch when she can see you. I would say just
about the perfect pet.
Would you buy another one for
agility? Yes
