Best features: I feel
that this book is a very good guide for anyone who is thinking about, or is just curious about
feeding their pets a more natural diet. It is an extremely informative book which will
certainly open your eyes, and make you sit up and think about what you are actually feeding
your beloved pets. Especially good for the descriptive use and nutritional values of everyday
foods that you wouldn’t normally think about feeding your pets.
It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for those who
are open minded and really want their pets to have the best possible quality of life,
(especially if their pet suffers from persistent ailments), this would certainly be a book that
I would recommend they read. Once you get over the initial shock of needing to chop up raw
turkey necks, chicken backs, and gizzards, it does become very compelling and the minds natural
curiosity takes over, and you want to find out more about it. All in all, a very good book, and
I was quite surprised at the nutritional benefits of some of the ingredients used, and also
their usage for helping, and protecting against some of the common health problems
Worst features: Could
possibly put an everyday pet owner off feeding their pet a "natural" diet, as in the earlier
part of the book it does conjure up the picture of entrails slopping around in the feed bowl.
Overall rating: 8/10
Price:
£6.99; USA $8.95, Aus $14.95.
Value for Money: Very
good
Design & Format: The
book has good visual appeal and should stand out quite nicely on the shelf.
Extra Features: The
author has obviously gone to great lengths with the make up of the dietary menus and it
certainly shows. An extremely informative and descriptive breakdown.
